In a growing number of cases, the elderly are being abused physically, emotionally and financially in nursing homes. Nursing home abuse includes failure to provide basic needs resulting in dehydration, malnutrition, falls, infections, bedsores, pressure sores, skin ulcers, decubitus ulcers, osteomyelitis, falls, etc. It also includes physical attacks, sexual assaults, emotional abuse and financial abuse.
