

Mr. Goetz was admitted to the bar in Georgia in 1967, and in the District of Columbia in 1968. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina ( B.A. 1964; J.D. 1967). From 1967 until 1978 he was an associate and partner with the Atlanta trial firm of Long, Weinberg, Ansley & Wheeler where he served as litigation defense counsel for numerous national insurance companies and self-insurers.
In 1978 Mr. Goetz formed his own firm and expanded his litigation practice to include the conduct of business and commercial litigation on behalf of individuals and local and national firms and insurance companies involving matters such as: antitrust, civil rights, trademark and RICO Act violations; shareholder, real estate developer and construction disputes; and plaintiff's personal injury, product liability, medical malpractice, wrongful death, and workers compensation claims. During his legal career, he has handled thousands of civil litigation cases in all practice areas and tried cases throughout the State of Georgia as well as the Federal district courts.
Mr. Goetz has been a Chairman for Continuing Legal Education seminars and an instructor on all aspects of litigation with particular emphasis on discovery and jury trials. He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, Atlanta and American Bar Associations, District of Columbia Bar, Lawyers Club of Atlanta, Georgia Defense Lawyers Association, and the Old Warhorse Lawyers Club.
